New Year. New Clarity.

I hope your new year has started with many blessings.

I wanted to share something I've been doing recently that's been surprisingly transformative: I've been on a media fast. Also called a Digital Detox.

If you're not be familiar, a media fast is intentionally stepping back from consuming digital media—social media, news feeds, streaming services, and the constant scroll that's become second nature to most of us.

Why I Started

Honestly, I was feeling overwhelmed and anxious. My attention was scattered, my mind was always "on," and I realized I was consuming content almost unconsciously. I decided to hit pause and see what would happen if I created some space. I wanted to get quiet and get closer to God. It's hard to hear what God wants for us if we're always distracted. It's hard to know what we want and the directions we want to take if noise always fills the space.

What I've Discovered

  • Mental clarity: Without the constant input, my thoughts have become clearer and more focused

  • Real presence: I'm more present in conversations and daily moments

  • Creative energy: The silence has made room for creativity to breakthrough

  • Intentional connections: I'm hearing and appreciating the sounds of the birds in my backyard. And enjoying the beautiful butterflies that come to my garden

The Challenges

It hasn't all been easy. There's definitely been some FOMO, and I've noticed how often I immediately go to websites or social media apps without consciously thinking. But recognizing those patterns has been eye-opening in itself.

Sleep has been challenging. Without the distraction of noise and chatter I am beginning how much my nervous system is in fight or flight even at rest.

Moving Forward

I'm still figuring out what my relationship with media will look like long-term, but I know it will be more intentional. This fast has shown me that I want to be more deliberate about what I consume and when.

🌙 A Gift for You: Yoga Nidra Now Inside The Sanctuary

Last week in my workshop, we closed with a deeply restful Yoga Nidra practice—and I wanted to share that with you.

It's now uploaded inside my free community, The Sanctuary.

Yoga Nidra is especially powerful because it helps:

  • calm the mind

  • restore the nervous system

  • shift from overstimulation into deep rest

  • invites clarity, softness, and emotional regulation

If you’re craving grounding, clarity, or more inner stillness, I think you’ll love this practice. Come experience a moment of quiet with me there.

✨ A New Year of Optimism + Forward Movement

As we step into a new year, I want to leave you with this:

Even small shifts—like unplugging early, choosing rest, or practicing Yoga Nidra—create massive ripples over time.

You don’t have to overhaul your life to feel different.
You just have to choose one moment of intention at a time.

This year may you move forward with:

  • a clearer mind

  • a deeper trust in your inner rhythm

  • more gentleness with yourself

  • and the optimism that softness is progress

You are already moving.
You are already shifting.
And you are already creating space for a more grounded, spacious version of yourself.

I’m excited to share more of this process with you — not as polished content, but as a real-time exploration of what it means to be present and sit with intentional quiet.

Here’s to a year of more clarity, more calm, and more connection. 🌿✨

xoxo,

Chelsea
